Welcome to the Grosse Pointe South Band & Orchestra (GPSBO)! Our district is lucky to have one of the best music programs in Michigan. We are an award winning program and are recognized by national groups such as NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) to be one of the best communities for music education. Our students consistently earn Superior Division 1 ratings at Michigan State Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) events, including Band & Orchestra Festival and Solo and Ensemble at the district and state level. Our Jazz Band has been recognized at Central Michigan University Jazz Weekend for multiple awards, including best overall section for class AA. Our students are scholars and leaders at South.
