7/27/2017 - Marching Band Camp Help Needed
It is going to be an exciting week for the kids. This is also a week of hard work in sometimes very hot conditions. To help with this, the GPSB&O Boosters made some purchases this year to help the marching band:
1. A new 10 X 10 tent. This tent will provide some much needed shade for the band members during their breaks. Additionally, it will provide shelter for the waters and snacks for the band.
2. Beverage coolers were purchased for the marching band. We purchased 2-5 gallon coolers and 1-10 gallon cooler. Each afternoon the coolers will be filled with ice and water and ice and lemonade or gatorade. Our goal is to keep the kids hydrated while on the field. The boosters will be providing the lemonade/gatorade and popsicles for each afternoon.
Even with all these items, we still need a little help from some willing parents. We have need for ice, salty snacks and sunscreen. If you can help with these items, please use the sign-up genius attached to sign-up for a day that works for you.
